When she knew that Seren was now peacefully asleep, she kisses her forehead one last time before she turned around. It was there that she saw the Doctor standing in the doorway. “Doctor? What are you doing here? Have you been watching me? The whole time?” She asks as she wanders over to him with a wide smile.
And he didn’t move when she caught him, laughing a little and holding up his hands in surrender as though he had been caught doing something incredibly naughty. “Just for a little, I caught the tail end,” he said and smiled, still leaning against the doorframe. “I quite like it, she seems to really enjoy it.”
shestolemee replied to your post: doctor …
I am. And where are you?In the nursery, little man wanted a few minutes of attention before bed, but ‘m comin’ to bed now.
Mmm, sounds good. He settled then?
Months passed from when Amy had their baby girl Seren. She had been growing fine and healthy. Amy was in the nursery, rocking her to sleep, singing a Scottish Lullaby. She looked down at her daughter and kissed her forehead before she placed her slowly into the cot. She couldn’t help but gaze at her, a happy smile filling her face.
The Doctor stood in the doorway and listened to her singing; she had a lovely singing voice and it was just another thing that he didn’t know about her. He didn’t want to interrupt, so he stayed quiet and just listened. He had his arms folded over his chest as the little girl seemed content with her mothers singing, the sound of her voice lulling her to sleep. Seren was an easy child, sweet and quiet most times, only crying when she was hungry, tired or needed a nappy change. He closed his eyes so he could listen to the sound of Amy’s voice singing, a smile on his own face.
that’s fine. i’ll just take him back to the TARDIS. good day then.
Gooood. [He moved to sit down in a chair beside her.] Not long now, right? You excited
Not long at all. Probably matter of minutes. [Reaching out for his hand.] So ready for this moment. and never thought i’d ever say i’ve been waiting ten days for this moment. Haha.
You’ll be perfect, you know that. [He took her hand and gave it a squeeze, resting his cheek down on it.]
[And he walked back in, smiling at her.] Hello there. You feeling better now? I know the drugs here are rather potent. Being the 48th century and all.
[Her head shot up from the pillow, giving a smile.] Muuuuuch better. I couldn’t even see straight at first but s’doing it’s job perfectly.

It’s incredibly rude. [He nodded when they said they wanted to set her up with pain meds that he should wait outside the room. He saluted.]
Rude rude rude. [When they had him wait outside, Gwen got anxious for those few minutes they had him away. It was like she was counting til he was back in. The drugs they had given her, was easing the anxiousness a little too. That was better.]

I wouldn’t if they wouldn’t keep getting in my way. [He followed behind, hands in his pockets.]
[Keep talking Gwen, just keep your mind off the pain.] Jumping in front of you. Bastards.
